Why are you so afraid?
What's a limiting belief you have?
Mine was that I couldn't get on camera.
I was afraid of judgment.
I knew I had ideas worth talking about, but I wasn't sure that I could deliver them in a way that would make people want to watch.
Only some people are watching my videos right now. But some is more than none.
I always hated being the center of attention.
I know now that this is directly rooted to times in my childhood where I got embarrassed in front of my peers.
how silly.
I'm probably the only one who remembers these events happening.
I bet you can relate.
We all have memories like this that seem to stick with us.
How many of your limiting beliefs are caused by these "traumas" that are floating around your subconscious?
What can you do to break through the grip they have on you?
1. Become Aware
You have to go inward and address the event.
Accept that it happened.
Understand how it has affected you since.
Move on.
Let it exist in the past.
Because you can't do anything to change what already happened.
2. Attack your Fear head-on
Open that creepy basement door you've been so afraid to open.
What lies on the other side is a world you could not imagine.
You understand fear now.
You know where it comes from.
You know what it's trying to do to you.
Fear only has as much power as we let it have.
The reality is...
Fear is more afraid of you than you are of it.
Once you look fear in the eyes, it will shrink into nothingness.
My Own Limiting Beliefs
For me, first it was putting my ideas online.
I broke through that barrier by starting this blog and newsletter in January.
Next, it was getting on camera.
It took me a few months, but now, I'm recording a video every day, no cuts, one take (NC1T) - just me and the camera getting to be best mates.
The first one was the hardest. But I'm 4 videos in now and absolutely loving it. I look forward to it each day.
I have 26 more to go to complete the NC1T Challenge.
We're rolling baby.
Now it's your turn.
I'll ask you again....
What's a limiting belief you have?
Why do you think you're not capable?
Guess what...you are.
Once you ACCEPT that YOU CAN DO IT and then go ahead and DO IT, you'll unlock a new level of confidence in yourself you never thought you could possibly have.
F*ck being afraid.
Do the thing.
